Did someone pass wind ?

Well our photos on the weekend went as well as could be, but as a wise guru told me once you cant polish a turd, I did the best blue steel I could muster and it was over very quickly , you will no doubt see photos on Nic blog soon.

There are many beautiful things in this world and I am not one of them so I feel sorry for Raylene but thanks for trying LOL.


Now I've said before there is a lot of beautiful things in the world and I don't think these are them, I drive past them on a daily basis and they are horrible , I know they produce power but my goodness surely solar power would be better .



But in another sense they are really fascinating to watch as I was driving through Toora I couldn't take my eyes of them, I even went up the lookout to get these photos , I sat there and just pondered. They are so quiet they make a gentle whisking sound, I haven't been this close to them before very impressive on a grand scale .



I know there is a lot of opposition to these things I might have to agree with them they do kind of wreck the scenery but with the ever growing population I suppose we need all the help we can get .As you can tell by this post not much is happening in the world of Nathan but we did get photos done and we all went to Smorgys again . The Mac's and the Fin's and we had Raylene join us too. Might have a new job soon as I think I am going to shoot my boss (just dreaming) he driving me up the wall at the moment only three more weeks then im on holidays aaaaaahhhhh...............................



As to follow in the foot steps of the guru G I couldn't stop and take photos without slipping a cow in....( I know its a bull but that's the best I could get LOL )

FUN

Fun, yep that is what i had down in Bairnsdale . I stuffed myself silly at Pizza Hut on friday night, the food was really nice the kids had chips mainly and lots of ice cream for tea. When we got to Ambers folks house it was late so we really didnt get a chance to look around out side much but the inside was beautiful, filled with loads of antiques, lots of colored glass , and lamps her dad collects them i hear.

We crawled into bed late that night after a few drinks Ambers brother turned up and we had a few more drinks with him , Funny bloke Mark is i got on well with him i think anyway. The next morning i was up with the sun and waited patiently for everyone else to wake up. The night before Mark said he was thinking of going garage saling, i told him if he was i would go with him .

Now i have told you before im addicted to these bloody things i even go when on holidays i cant help myself ....lol...;) We found a few treasures mainly a few things for the kids but i found more poker chips and some more playing cards for friday night games. george and i decided to go fishing ( alone ) but we all ended up going to paynesville for the after noon, didnt really get to go fishing only for a little while anyway doesnt matter, We all came back hungry and a bbq was in order for the wheather had been fantastic, all meals were eaten outside and the kids got to run around the yard because it was a completly inclosed yard. More drinks and another night of crawling of to bed...lol..( and yep i think we are turning into alchoholics lol ) .

ASunday by the time we got organised we headed of to Lakes Entrance for fish and chips on the beach. I was playing with the frisbee for a while and by god you forget how hard it is to run on the beach and how hard the sand is when doing a dive for a frisbee, man i think i have bruised my ribs. Well at least it was HEALTHY for me to be running on the beach, and yes i got wet, whenever there is water near i will always get wet , i cant help it i love water ( and i had to get the frisbee back before it got to tassie ).

Another great day sunday and a quick tea and what do you know a few more drinks lol , Mark had gone to Melbourne so we all got to let it all out and relax a bit more anyway , a couple of movies and another late night and plenty of laughs , Its very NOISEY at night down in bairnesdale but you get used to after a while and sleep through it in the end. We were going home on Sunday but it was getting to late so we decided to go on monday, a huge pancake breakfast was fantastic i dont think there was a pancake left and there was a lot of them. We ended up going just after lunch i didnt want to go at all it was so nice , but we all have work and other commitments , we headed off to Carmen and Phillips, we dont ever go and see them as we rarely come up this way at all. it was a quick visit as Carmen and phillip had to go to work but still a quick visit is better than no visit....

We stopped and rosedale to get some lunch from the bakery yummy stuff, And then off to sale to fix the car, as the rubber that holds the muffler on had broken on the wayup or the other day anyway, it took them five minutes to fix and twenty four dollars later we were on our way.

We had just got into Traralgon and Alex said he felt like he was going to be sick , we just got him out when he chucked everywhere , all over his hands and clothes we thought he was done we sat back in the car and whammo he chucked all over the carpet, now the smell got to Nic or the sight of all that vomit she chucked too. Im a simpathy chucker so i wasnt going to be far behind them but i managed to keep it in, we had spare clothes for alex to chuck in and we had vomit everywhere and now Nic had even more washing to do when we got home, Alex was fine he had his tea and went to bed no problems, Nic sorted the washing and i went and scrubbed the car clean,well enough to get the smell and vomit out anyway.

So that was really the icing on the cake for me i had a great time with the Mc Alpines and i think i need another holiday ive got the bug for them now.....lol

Busy Week

I have been flat out this week as I am doing a courier job that starts at six in the morning and finishes at about two or three in the arvo. I really like it as I get to drive all over South Gippsland, I really like it when I have to go to Philip Island as it is such a long way away.

But what I came across on my journeys has made me sad but in a weird kind of way that is, I came across this house when I was in Mirboo North ,






There is nothing special about this house except it is where my Pop's house used to be I was stunned it was gone and this thing was in its place . I spent a lot of time and I mean a lot of time at my Grandparents house growing up there was fantastic, this is were I learnt about vegetable gardening as his backyard was half concrete and half vege patch.We spent hours together in the garden he loved his garden so much he even had a little patch for me, whatever I wanted to plant I could , I even learnt how to ride a bike here and how to take a trailer of rubbish to the tip and bring back two.....LOL.

Over the road was a huge paddock where the old train station used to be and a heap of cypress trees to play in , they touch the trees out and built a B.M.X track opposite his house .My brother and I both got b.m.x's that year mine was yellow and red , Jasons was blue and yellow. It was my first time on a track with jumps and turns and whoopdy doo's I crashed bad and did damage to My ribs and was in hospital for a day or two. I went back as soon as I was healed............................................................ And crashed again LOL.



But now there is this........................................







It is a fantastic looking park I will admit, but all my memories of this area came back to me at once and it kind of over welmed me a little but I did manage to smile through it and nothing stops progress I suppose..

Now I mentioned the other day I am going away I cant wait to go away again with the Mac's as it seems like forever since we have been together . We all have been so busy the last few weeks and I am really looking forward to going down to Bairnsdale and having a great relaxed time (might even slip a little fishing in :) ) with all of them .

I have the next few days off work and I hope we catch up with everyone we know down that way too. I used to live down that way as well so it will be interesting to see if my old house is still there or is it to gone to progress.

So I'm going now to get everything ready for the weekend and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY must be said to Nics dad , HAPPY birthday Bruce you old fart you .....LOL

Monday-itis

Man what a bad case of Monday-itis......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHH..

I felt like crap this morning I couldn't wake up , couldn't get motivated to go to work, couldn't even be bothered making breakfast. So I threw a few things in a bag and went of to work the worst thing was there was heaps of deliveries to Leongatha and Wonthaggi but only a few for Warragul.

So I finished early doing my deliveries and headed back to the shop when I get a phone call saying that I will be doing deliveries on Thursday night, now I don't really care but I finish at three because I start at six in the morning and when I stated that I would be finished by three they said I owed them hours. Man was I pissed I owe them shit I have started early for the last two months and have done two to four hours a day overtime for that time for nothing, so work that out but they always change it so that it is in their favor, I'm glad the phone dropped out as I was turning red and just about to spit the dummy big time.

It is all worked out for now but they still believe I owe them ,but on a better note I went crayfishing yesterday haven't been for years but still thought it would be nice to sit by the creek and watch the world go by, There is always a catch when someone asks you to help them first then we will go fishing later, and this time was no different ....lol.

So by the time I went and got some meet from a friend who works for Readford's abbatoirs and then to drouin to pick up Dodgy Dave it was lunchtime and then the helping, Dave is a collector of arcade machines and he has recently bought five more from out at Neerim South. So the drive out in the truck took a while, then the drive to the persons house was just as long down a long and dusty road too.

Once again by the time we got the five machines loaded and headed to the creek we had about half an hour to crayfish....;(
We did catch four or so but they were all to small to eat bummer they are so yummy to eat so we thought next weekend we would go again but this time we go earlier , then I remembered we are going away. Oh well so we ended back at davids house unloaded and that was my big crayfishing day a whole half hour.

So lets hope Tuesday is better than Monday at least I have Wednesday off for Alex's school sports day might take the good camera and try and get a few snaps of the kids.

We I should say have finally planted the vegie garden , it took alot of planning and a lot of delegation but it is in. Because of the Melbourne Cup I had a day off and hey I don't even follow horses I don't even know who won but I never nock back a day off .Nic had to work so I looked after the kids, we all jumped in the car and headed off to the nursery to get some goodies, I let the kids pick the vegie's so we ended up with Tomatoes, Peas, Carrots, capsicum, Spuds and a lot of Corn.



so hopefully soon we will be over flowing with vegies.

OOPS

I didn't get a chance to blog yesterday as we had so much to do but once again we didn't get it all done infact I don't think I got any of it done.

We did get up nice and early and tidied up around the place getting ready to plant the bloody vege garden as usual something or someone got in our way I don't mind but I have been telling the kids that we will do it this weekend and it has been four or five weekends now. But Nics sister came around with her kids and then her other sister and mum turned up the next thing you now we are having a family get together so much for the weekend vege planting. I have a list of what I'm planting ,where I'm planting and I just cant get to it . Its been rotary hoed compost added weeds removed but still no vege's.........:(

Ooops I will get there next year maybe???????????



But later on that sunny afternoon one of the dodgy brothers gave me a call and wanted to go fishing, I asked the warden for a leave pass and was granted on good behavior . We charted the nearest vessel ( holden rodeo ) and set sail for deep water ( the nearest creek ) it was nice just to cruise around the waters edge and chat away about nothing in general.

We had a few nibbles but mainly crayfish , no big fish ;( we ended up somewhere out there and a nice little river appeared so we stomped off through the long grass and sat and fished for a while we thought we would try lures for a while. Better success with the lures as we could see the trout trying to take the lure but would stop just short of eating it bugger..

Dave went off one way and I the other not long after he left my lure got snagged , being it wasn't my lure I thought I would do my best in getting it back. There was a log just under the surface of the river and a large branch sticking out of the water, I thought piece of cake.
As I gently entered the water I slowly reeled in the extra line to keep my balance nearly there I reached for the branch and SNAP I went straight in up to my armpits in the deepest part I might ad of the river LOL , Bloody freezing at first I could have sang like a choir boy right then ( spanner water ) my cousin calls it.

Ooops oh well I'm in now so up the river I went it was actually nice after a while, I caught up with Dave and he had a good chuckle and then got his lure snagged stopped laughing then didn't he.
I went in and retrieved it for him and once again we headed on different side of the bank, Later I caught a small trout but it slipped of the hook just as I got it on the bank, it was to small any way so I will get him next time but in a whole I had a good day thanks dodgy for the fun day.

But back to work today it has been a bit quiet so we have looked around for a little more work and they have hired me out to a courier company doing the south gippsland run. I have done it all before so it was a walk in the park for me no training the new boss loved that as normally it is a weeks training to learn where to go with him paying two drivers to do one job. The only draw back for me is that I have to be in traralgon by seven in the morning that really doesn't go down well for me as I'm not a morning person. I really do enjoy driving around the country side I might start taking my camera with me every now and then, it is good though as I finish at three-ish normally I do the courier work till twelve then do the normal shop stuff and an early finish so that is about it for me as I sit here the phone is going crazy people coming around to visit so I must go ..

Addicted

Yep its official I'm addicted to garage sales.....;)

I try to stay away , I try not to read the paper , I try to drive past, just ignore them I try and try but nope I went this morning again I even walked to get to it too how addicted is that....






I've even got the kids addicted now, Nic had to take Alex to the doc's he has a virus poor little thing he always seems to catch a bug . I had just finished the lawns and had a quick shower and I said in jest to Maddy hey "you want to go to a garage sale " She had a hat on a doll under one arm and a scooter warmed up and on standby quicker than a flash. It was a mighty fine sale about three or for house lots in one , I picked up another board game for the kids and one for the adults.

A new pretty pink handbag for Maddy, a Dragon Ball Z toy for Alex And a pop up Sun shade for me. Nic had rang earlier saying she was going to stop on the way back and we all meet up and went back in the sale and bought a few more bits and pieces.
I said to myself no more until after Xmas but we will see we will see.....LOL


So the rest of the day has been spent going thru Alex's new yugioh cards a bit of a chat with the kids a bit of a nana nap for me, Made yummy Mexican for tea and I think I might surf the net for a while and maybe even a movie so until the next sale ........;)

Lazy Old Me

How lazy am I , well let me start it has been forever since I have blogged, it has been forever since I took the camera out of the cupboard and I cant remember the last time I actually had time to do any of these things.

This was going to be my last post as it really hasn't been high on my priority. But this will be the new beginning I think I hope who knows, oh well lets go for it .



Today I had to be up early and I hate getting up early I know seven in the morning doesn't sound early but to me it is I set the alarm for six fifteen which with daylight savings ( or robbing ) meant five fifteen in the morning . Today's journey took me to the great suburb of Scorsby I had twenty one chest freezers to pick up yes twenty one of them. It PIDDLED down rain all day as soon as I stepped out of the truck it rained I thought it was going to be warm today so I was wearing shorts and a short top , bloody idiot I was freezing as soon as I stopped working.

It took two hours to load the bloody heavy things and in the rain it was the longest two hours ever. The guy I was doing this job for had been out drinking and didn't stop till four this morning he started again at ten man I wouldn't even be alive let alone be able to drink so early in the morning.

It was going good actually it was hard heavy lifting but it wasn't that bad I got back into warragul and unloaded the freezers at his house he came out with a bottle of bubbly called Reginald Langdon Buller sparkling pinot noir chardonnay oh well I like cash myself but Nic likes it .

So I finished early today picked up Alex from school, built a helicopter that was supposed to be a xmas stocking stuffer oops my fault. Had a yummy tea and finally got the kids to sleep and I'm just watching a DVD , fallen asleep a few times but hey I'm here by myself so who cares if I snore .

well best be off hopefully I can get motivated to blog a bit more often.
