A day out

Wow what a day, Poker last night at Davids didnt really play well but then again thats me good one day shit the rest, but i didnt care to much about last night today was the day that i was going to go fishing with Dodgey Dave and another co-worker .

we went out to the latrobe river and i thought he was joking when he said they were going to walk the river in they went , and yes it was cold at first but after a certain part of the anatomy gets wet it doesnt matter anymore.....lol.lol....;)



I bought a new lure and rod for the occasion and the dude behind the counter said it was the best and by god he was right i had one cast and i had caught a small trout but as usual it got off just near the bank.....lol off we went up the river for a few hundred metres and normally i am the one who falls in the water but since i was already in my clumsy-ness had been taken care of, Anthony though keeped tripping over and over and going under and under soooooooooooooo funny......lol

I did catch a nice trout later on after we all ended up swimming as we came across a spot that we could not find the bottom of the river i dont think i have laughed so hard for a while, all i saw was a hat floating on the river and no Dave to be seen . We ended up going back after a few hours of fishing soaking wet but had a great time doing it , we all floated back down the river which was harder than walking up, We came across a few dickheads with their 4wd in the river being true knobs .




On the way back we decided to go yabbing, about half an hour later we had a bucket full and that was about it off home to eat our bounty but i cat be bothered cooking so might eat them tomorrow , in all it was a fantastic day out cant wait to go again.

I suck at poker

Yep that's right the champ sucks at poker the other week I was on fire slaying my opposition like ants this last couple of weeks I have bombed out in the first ten minutes, Weeks and weeks of playing and I still suck man I thought once I had won it would be like yeah here's my cards read them and weep.

Every hand I won with last time lost this time what had I done go to cocky most likely.....LOL
so that it is no more poker for me I quit..... No more I say this because it was the last night of the year for this round.. At least I made it to the top at least once , over all I landed 16th which isn't to bad out of sixty to seventy people.

Oh well that is about it for me as I'm falling asleep as I type this having trouble getting used to getting up at 5.30 am everyday .

In the end I have a trophy and a medal ( all ready got the chest to pin it on ) and a fifty dollar voucher so not to bad ...Might show off my medal and trophy but they are out in the pool room
and cant be bothered getting them night night...

Champion !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well someone's got to blow my horn ;)

I play poker every Tuesday night down at the local downtowner, Its all free and you don't play with your own money all chips just a good night out in general. I meet up with a few friends down there and laugh and just have a good time never too serious for us anyway.

I never really last too long as I'm not that good at bluffing or even how the cards work in my favor just bet and hope for the best . It started out well I was winning a lot of hands and my small amount of money that I start with was now huge , the first break came and went and I was still in wow I'm normally out by then LOL.

Every ten to fifteen minutes the blinds go up they start at $25 and $50 and when you get to the end table they get to $5000 and $10000, but back to the game, there is about fifty to sixty people every week with eight on a table , I always sit with the same people but once you take all there money you get moved around to empty chairs on other tables. I was nearly out so many times I lost count, But lady luck was on my side I made it to the next break and now I was down to the final table , the final thirteen they didn't last long I went to the final table as the chip leader with about $30000 .

As I said earlier the blinds take most of your money before long I was down to about $10000 but two minutes later I was back up again with now only three of us left I have never gotten this far before , the best I have done is 8th I was in for the long run and the other two went all in and one bet me but I had more money so I was still in , Now it was me and this guy called Frank a veteran gambler .

He went all in so I matched him I had an ace and a ten he had a king and a queen the cards were placed on the table nothing came up until the last two cards , a pair of fives bugger me I had won the match WHOOOOHOOOO for me .

I won a trophy and a gold chip , also a fifty dollar voucher from the downtowner I was shocked but I know it wont happen again so once again WHOOOOOOOHOOOO too me

Well I must be off and brag a little more to anyone who will listen.................LOL........ ;)
