Hello everybody!

Days to remember !!

Now i really don't know what to say, but what i do for a living does have some great things about it like all the furniture i want at great prices.

But it has some shitty parts to it as well , Recently i had to go and pick up some furniture and other things from a deceased estate. His name was Jack and he lived in and around Warragul for most of his life now i don't now much about him but as i was collecting his stuff ( it really does suck sometimes ) his son just wanted everything gone and what we didn't take was going in the bin , now i don't like to waist anything so i dug through a few things in his shed and took them home for Nic just wash tubs and bits and pieces. But in the skip i found heaps and i mean heaps of negatives .

I scanned a few and played around with them for a while .





I just wanted to get this done as someone has to remember he was a pilot in the R.A.A.F based at Laverton , he was shipped over to Japan by the looks of some of the photos i have looked at.






I hated to think all his old war items would be going into the bin, i also found his air force leather cap and gloves i have placed them in a cupboard till i find his son but he hasn't returned my phone calls , Unfortunately some people just get the money we pay and leave never to be seen again.





He must have been a very lucky man as so many did not return.........






So in the next few days i will be remembering all those that have fought for Australia and i hope you will be too, Spare a thought for Jack and his mates i know i will....

Days of Old.

Yes once again I went fishing with Dodgy Dave , I love fishing but hardly get the chance too as work and family commitments often get in the way , But every now and then I get to slip out with Dodgy.

We only go out the back of Drouin or Neerim South not to far away as we both hate to travel for too long to go fishing, It was a little over cast and the wind was getting up making for a cold day so we decided not to walk the river ,That being said Dodgy was in five minutes later so was I.

There was a lot of Trout in the river they would follow the lure out and the last second dart off , this happened over and over and is quite annoying . We kept getting snagged and caught in the trees , I even had to climb up a tree to rescue my $16 lure , I'm not letting that one out of my sight.


Finally Dave had this nice trout sneak up on his lure , he cast out again and got stuck in the tree so he said for me to cast out and try ,Well one cast and he was on.....Not to much reeling in as the Creek wasn't that wide in this spot a few moments later we landed a nice Rainbow trout..






Now I say we as fishing with The Dodgy Bros. is a team sport ,we both caught it so we both had our photo taken with it...LOL

Where Have I been ?

Tired , exhausted and literally couldn't be bothered.

It has been forever since I have had the chance to sit down and write in here , Not to mention get the camera out and get a few pics.

So what has been going on , Not a lot just with this new job of mine I get tired at night and I rarely make it past ten at night , Nic and I are like ships passing in the night and catching up on what's what ( I'm the ugly tanker ;)...)





The most fun thing that has happened lately is the kids and I went garage shopping the other week , we try and go most weeks depending on events in the family life , I ran into a friend who was having a garage sale , haven't spoken in years but was nice to catch up anyway he had a canoe in the grass, I did have to ask how much and it was my favorite price FREE .



It was very funny loading this fifteen foot canoe onto the rodeo , luckily we only live just up the hill..;)








So basically I have been spending time on the canoe getting it ready for its maiden voyage, had a few cracks in it but that's about it so a quick patch up and a little paint it is now ready for the timber rail around the top , which is proving to be tricky , might have to get a few of the boys around to help bend the timber and twist at same time.



I only have a couple of photos, as I forgot to blog about it , I was too excited so when I Finnish it I will post some more
